This Monday I was invited to join the online reviews for a group of architecture students at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada.

Students presented 1:20 models alongside 1:1 prototypes as part of their Design Build studio, led by Ted Cavanagh.
Some projects experimented with creative approaches to water run off, whilst others explored integration of demolition waste, for example redundant windows.

One project embodied the tension and compression forces, evocatively demonstrated through red cable connections.
Another scheme integrated a biophilic approach with thatched roof and germination within clay tiles.

Initially I got in touch with Dalhousie, hoping to join one of their larger Design-Build projects. More to follow…
