Presenting at a Sociology Conference

Last Friday I presented at the academic conference Sosiologipäivät hosted by the University of Tampere in Finland. I took part in the Sociology of Waste working group as part of the conference.

My presentation discussed the suitability of Graphic Anthropology for investigating operational issues at Energy-from-Waste plants in the United Kingdom. I presented my sketches of the Suez facility at Tees Valley (Lines 1-3), along with the early-stage analysis, benefits and limitations of the sketches. Further information on mine and other speakers’ presentations will be summarised in one of the upcoming issues of the Sosiologia journal.

Graphic Anthropology is one of the methods I am planning to use in my PhD. Flick through the slide show below for more information.
