During my one day stopover between London and Quito I used the city of Mexico Metro to visit the historic centre of Mexico City and the Coyoacán area.
The metro surprised with separate carriages for women and children, very shiny floors, extravagant decorations, archaeological sites and intense physical contact on entering the men’s carriage at busy stations. Having been caught unawares and pushed around the first time I had my revenge during the entry attempts that followed.
