Chief Alabi, the Eko Hotel’s secretary and historian, has served as the president of the National Tourism Association in Nigeria for 5 years and was therefore able to provide me with a brief history of Nigerian hospitality including details not found in literary sources. I recorded the interview and agreed to send Chief some further questions that might have answers in his extensive archives.
