Since the project began to gain an educational aspect, I have met with a Nigerian hotel researcher focusing on staff training.
Belinda and I discussed the current deficit of trained staff at Nigerian hotels, the concept of the Wavecrest College (helping women from deprived communities become more independent) and their plans to expand into Lekki, as well as the Lagoon institute and projects for conference staff training facilities in rural Nigeria. We have agreed my visits to these institutions and talked about potential collaboration.
