Interview with Head of HR, Eko Hotel

Mr Jide with s dissertation in Cold War politics kindly provided the specifics of staff employment and training and the diversity of staff, both ethnically and professionally.
(Interview documented)

He approved my project’s educational aspect, and suggested such project could be based on the Mainland, for example in Ikeja, where there is also much tourism but which is better accessible to people likely to work in a hotel.
Typically for Nigeria, the staff here prefer to liaise with the management in groups or unions with chosen representatives. Salaries and objections are discussed within the group after which the representative brings the matter to the manager. In Europe I observed a different phenomena, whereby people prefer to quietly sneak in and see their directors individually about such issues.
