Construction site, private house

After my first year of studying Architecture I spent the summer helping at a construction site near my family’s summer house. The work was focused on the concrete floors. After cutting plywood to shape and propping it from below, we assembled reinforcement and poured the concrete (in limited amounts to prevent cracking), and admired its smoothness.

Because of the complex shape of the building, I was asked to draw a 3D model to check whether some of the timber girders were being cut to the right angle. Sleepless nights over university sketchup models finally proved to be useful!
